A British artist, Barry has achieved much success
with his automotive art on both sides of the Atlantic. Following
winning the prestigeous Southeby's Art Award, he was awarded commissions
by Louis Vuitton of Paris, Royal Mail, Royal Doulton, and in 1998,
the Annual Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. His interest in things
mechanical of the 1920s and 1930s led him to paint early aircraft,
which he relishes with the same enthusiasm as his automotive subjects,
bringing a wonderful period feel to his art. He has exibited in
London, Paris, Monte Carlo, Pebble Beach and Meadowbrook, where
he received the Award of Excellence in 1997. Barry's two atmospheric
studies of the early American Air Mail planes, both available from
the Military Gallery as limited editions, are beautifully pieces
of nostalgic art.
