FIGHTER SUPPORT – Book & Print Portfolio

World famous artist Robert Taylor takes up the story in FIGHTER SUPPORT, a magnificent pencil study of the Bf109 during the latter stages of the Battle of Britain. Led by their Kommodore, Major Adolf Galland, the Bf109s of JG26 climb across the Channel coast ready to provide yet another close escort to a large formation of Luftwaffe bombers heading towards London.

BREACHING THE DAMS – THE MEN WHO MADE IT POSSIBLE

Limited to only NINETEEN copies to represent the nineteen Lancaster crews who took part in the Dambuster raid, all three drawings have been faithfully reproduced as high quality giclée fine art prints, personally signed by the artist and hand numbered. THE STORMING OF SWORD

Simon’s dramatic work, specially commissioned to commemorate all those who fought so bravely in the Normandy campaign, takes us to a bizarre, yet uplifting scene on Sword Beach on the morning of 6 June 1944. Above the din of battle, amidst a blizzard of withering fire, is the sight of Lovat’s personal piper Bill Millin who, armed only with a set of bagpipes, stoically commences to play the commandos ashore.

NEVER IN THE FIELD OF HUMAN CONFLICT…

The historical importance of this extremely limited edition is highlighted by the addition of rare ORIGINAL autographs within the conservation matting, including the former British Prime Minister and a further twenty highly-regarded pilots who flew Spitfires or Hurricanes during that long summer of 1940. Also included in each composition are museum-quality reproduction RAF Wings and a fragment of sandstone recovered from the Houses of Parliament following severe damage during ‘The Blitz’ – Germany’s relentless bombing campaign.
